House: contracts signed… by us…

Well, we signed our life away! We’ve signed the section 32, which if I understand once the last vendor party has signed it (there are two, what I think are kids of the estate holder) that triggers the actual contract to be drawn up, where we’ll have to go sign it also (edit: this was not the case, the first signature is enough). I will also get moving on the two inspections (pest + structural) and the mortgage process, as we have 14 days and 21 days respectively to object to anything under those conditions and walk away.

Our tentative settlement date is the 18th of June.

We did have to head out to the conveyancer’s offices to sign some forms, show ID, etc. That didn’t take very long at all, and I skipped work briefly to do it (I end up working late more often than not so I have some time-off-in-lieu in the bank for just such occasions).
