Duncan: First Friends’ Birthday Party

They’re not his…

Duncan had a first today: the first time he went to a friends house, and for a birthday party no less. Sabriena took him to buy presents (there were two boys celebrating at the same time, Lincoln and Gabriel) on Thursday while I was at work, then this morning we dropped him off at about 11am. It turns out Lincoln lives a couple streets over, so we walked over there.

Then when we got back, we jumped straight into the car to go get groceries. About half way to the store, I noticed a funny noise coming from one of the tires - it reminded me like we drove through a tiny patch of something sticky! Stopped in the parking lot to have a look at it, and it’s plain as day - we’d picked up a screw in the tire.

I tried to pry it out, and as I did I heard hissing… so we just whipped it off and put the spare on. On Monday I’ll have to take it in and get it repaired, so for the moment we don’t have a spare… should be alright, we don’t plan on going anywhere.

At about 2:30pm, we walked over to Lincoln’s house and picked him up, and apparently he was very well behaved and they had lots of fun.
