Out for my tri-weekly jog again today, all by myself because Sabriena is laid up with a suspected torn calf muscle (which she hilariously tore again trying to run from a train about a week ago), and I've been trying to listen to music because apparently it helps you stick it out for longer.
The problem is, I tend to pace myself harder when I have music going! The last few runs have positively kicked the shit out of me in the last interval, because I have nothing left by then.
Today, I managed to step off the side of the footpath and roll my ankle. I thought it was okay so I kept going, and when I got to the last interval my body just went "no, fuck this" and I walked it out. Tonight, I'm really feeling it... I reckon I should have stopped immediately and walked home. C'est la vie.
Hopefully it heals up before monday.
