I took a short trip out to Kalkallo, which basically put me just the other side of Mum and Dad's, and I would have to drive right past them to go home - so we decided to have a visit. Sabriena and Duncan drove out here themselves, and we're going to stay the night to help Dad assemble the new van (and there are multiple new foals for Sabriena to take photos of).
I got here at about 2 in the afternoon, and we got a fair amount of fabrication work done on the roof rack. Sabriena and Duncan arrived about a half an hour after, the GPS guiding her through Beafort and Lexton, apparently oblivious to the fact there's heaps of road works going on on the Western highway, and she'd probably have been better off going across from Stawell or Ararat.
Mum made roast pork for dinner, which was excellent. The new oven helps a ton, I'm glad we spent the effort to put it in before we moved.
Unfortunately I got a call, and I have to work tomorrow out of Nhill (actually got two calls, had to turn down the second one - when it rains it pours!), so we'll have to drive home tonight. Too much driving for one day, when I wasn't expecting it.
