We're back at Mum and Dad's - hopefully not for too long, but the Sprinter needs a service and at least one tire. In to Ballarat on the way home this morning, where I stopped in at the previously-I-didn't-know-it-existed Mercedes Benz dealer to buy filters and such. Why on earth was I driving down to Laverton when I could have driven probably a third of the distance? They had all the parts and things I could have wanted.
I continue to be amazed at how cheap the Sprinters actually are on parts. The fully-synthetic oil is hideously expensive (something to the tune of $12/L in 5L bottles) but the service interval is so long I reckon we actually come out ahead versus the Falcon. When you do the sort of miles we're doing, even a 10,000KM service interval is horrifically short.
We also need to do laundry, a bunch of book-keeping, and hopefully a car wash before we head out again. Better get crackin'!
