This weekend saw our small town’s “City-wide Rummage sale” so naturally, living a stone’s throw away from a flea market rubbed off on us and we had to go. We got our little maps from the local real estate agency and set out bright and early to pick up as many deals as we could.
Honestly, given the economy, you think people would be busting their asses to sell their shit to people… but this year’s turn out was pretty terrible. There wasn’t too much good shit either, I was hoping to pick up some tools or something fun but I don’t think I spent more than a dollar the entire day.
I picked up another doorbell, I’m going to try and wire it in parallel so that we have one upstairs and one downstairs to ensure we hear it. I also picked up an ATX power cable for a nickel, simply because since throwing away an entire box full of them prior to moving out here I’ve learned that you can never have too many power cables.
Shaina’s baby made out like a bandit of course… one of the great things about living out in the sticks where teenagers have nothing to do but breed is that come yard sale season there’s no shortage of lightly used baby stuff. The vast supply dictates that it’s also going to be really cheap.
Surprisingly though, our puppies didn’t come away with any stuffed animals to chew up. Poor guys.
