… and to anyone in or around Delaware county trying to sell used computers and electronics.
It doesn’t matter how much you paid for it, it is not worth that now. I don’t care what it is. A CRT monitor of any sort, unless it’s too big to get in a passenger car, is never worth any more than a case of cheap beer. If it is too big to get into a passenger car, you might have to give someone a case of cheap beer to take it, unless you happen upon one of the seven people in Indiana with an appreciation for an old high-resolution jumbo CRT.
A 15″ LCD monitor is never worth $200 under any circumstances – I know you backwoods retards go to Walmart once a month, surely you must know you can pick up a 17″ or larger LCD for less than that brand new. Yes, those cheap-ass LCD TVs will double as a monitor and probably look much nicer than your 2 year old 15″ LCD.
That computer you just bought, today? Take $50 off the value of it by the time you get it to your car. It comes out of the box, take another $100 off the value of it. 6 months down the line, you’re looking at half price at best, and that’s if it’s flawless.
Our camera, which we paid over $400 for 6 months ago? I can buy it brand new for half that right now. Why are you assholes listing stuff for the retail value from 6 months ago?
I laugh when I go to a yard sale and I see a PC that might as well have a green screen monitor on it and the seller wants triple digits – just because you spent a lot on it at one point, doesn’t mean it’s worth that now.
Does anyone ever sell anything in the /sys/ section? If they do I might need to get back into the salvage hardware game, these prices are outrageous.
