Now, please note that it’s entirely possible I messed something up here – it’s been a while since I’ve used my PS3 for anything – but this is just how it looks to me.
2.70 firmware broke my video streaming from mediatomb! It worked before the update, now it comes up with a bunch of “unsupported data type” files – despite the fact some of those files are things I’ve copied to the PS3 hard disk which still play just fine. True, I might have broken something on the media server because it has been quite a while since I used it, but true to raged-fueled-blogger form I’m going to blame the firmware update.
What does this firmware update support? Lots of ground breaking features, such as text chat, copy+paste, and the ability to easily search for games we already own (so I gather from the notice). 
So rather than watch some streaming videos, we sat in for a relaxing hour or two of late night TV. You know what this means: ads for chat phone lines with acting so bad it would make your high-school drama club re-shoot, ads for mesothelioma lawyers (is it common for people living/dying with industrial abuses such as asbestos to lay awake watching shit tv late at night, or do they not put any effort into their demographics?) and ads for pimple cream.
We finally settled on watching a couple of re-runs of “That 70′s Show” which is on some goofy teen channel, and judging by the fact we were inundated with acne cream commercials I’d say we have a real epidemic going on here. Forget the fact the west seems to raise some of the dumbest kids ever, forget the fact that teen pregnancies are happening in droves, and who cares how our kids pay for college – they’ve got bumps on their faces!
