LF> Video Host

So.

A friend of mine is looking for a new video host. YouTube have a great community, but their HD mode doesn’t really seem to play so great for most people. It’s jumpy, it pauses, it’s aggravating. Maybe they’ll fix it, but we’re impatient so we’ve been trying to find another host.

Stage6 would have been perfect, because the DivX videos on there looked gorgeous. Problem is, Stage6 closed last year.

We’ve looked at Hulu, but they’re more geared towards shit the majority of the population would want to watch – I doubt they’ll accept gaming videos. Plus, no one wants to be in the middle of watching Bill being violated by a Smoker only to have it stop and come up with an ad for term life insurance for seniors. Oh and they don’t support regions outside the USA apparently.

Vimeo looked really good, and in fact the HD videos SouL tested looked and played great. The downside? No gaming videos allowed – they yanked the test video after about 3 days. That’s a show-stopper.

I might give Veoh a try and see how that works out, but to save me the hassle of wading through the entire Wikipedia list of video sharing websites can anyone recommend a good HD video hosting site?
