Depending on the version of Murmur, there are now <a href="https://github.com/fwaggle/mumble/blob/master/scripts/testcallback.py#L47" rel="nofollow">text message callbacks</a> supported in Murmur which will likely do what you want. I'm not sure if you can return something to make it swallow the text messages or if everyone sees them all the time, but it definitely allows you to let the server send them.

In fact the much requested "let us log text chat server side" feature request, Ice already fulfills this.

Possibly after 1.2.4 releases (Mumble's in feature freeze right now). The brand new versions of QT support DNS lookups the way we need them, so we don't have to drag in any other libs, which was how the previous "support" worked and probably why it never made it into master. So it's possible once the new version of QT is baked in that we'll see it, but I don't know if any of the developers are as passionate about it as I am, so I'm not sure if I'll have to roll up my sleeves to finish it, which would be disastrous as I'm insanely busy at the moment. :(

Hello,
Very Nice. As I am interesting to pick up User text sent from one client window from one user to another client (or between players) I wonder if this API can be used in this way, or do we have to send messages from player A first to be receiver by the server's API and then the server has to resent the messages to player B ? Consider that I want to process the message between A and B, not actually just transfer the message (as built in already!). Are there a good example of this in a Python example or how to use the API from Python?

Greetings
Steinar/Norway

Do you have any more specifics on the support of SRV records with Mumble 1.2.3? I've been looking around for information on the specifics of support and, thus far, your page is the only one to give me any hope at all. Specifically, I am rather inexperienced with DNS RFC standards and I'm in the process still of tweaking my bind server. The one record type I'm very keen to add is the SRV for mumble though.

Hi there,

Sorry about the response, but if you have the same laptop as me it should "just work" with the caveats listed above. If you don't, I'm afraid I can't really help you much. :(

I'd recommend trying to get the manufacturer of your laptop to assist you, as their support site should be able to help you out.

Indeed. It needs revising already, but so far I've had no interest in anyone even if the price were reasonable. IIRC when we knocked together that plan, BTC was at about 0.89USD, so we'd be losing a little... but we were okay with that. Now I have no idea what the BTC is going to do (nor honestly do I care), so I might have to change that to something along the lines of "we'll credit your account whatever the BTC is doing on mtgox at the time".
