The group that "hacked" Photobucket has managed to hack ICANN and IANA (two of the organizations responsible for administering practically anything that can be assigned in terms of the internet) by replacing the sites' registered DNS server delegations with their own (rented at an unsuspecting web host company). The best most bloggers could come up with was "it might have been XSS/XSRF", I wonder if anyone's noticed that so far all sites hosted have been registered with register.com? If I were register.com I'd be going over my site with a fine tooth comb right now.
Moodoo does TeamSpeak!
So our little gaming clan has been playing with TeamSpeak, for a few reasons. Firstly, I have no shortage of well-connected computers that can run a voice chat server, and it sucks ass that in order to run a Ventrilo, I'm either limited to stone-age software, or to 8 slots. If I want more than that, I need to rent a server from an authorized reseller. If I wanted to become a reseller, Ventrilo have a minimum slot commitment of 1000 slots, even at 10c a slot (I highly doubt the wholesale price is that low) that still comes out to a hundred bucks a month out of pocket.

I called Acer Technical Support....
I think I'm in love with our Acer Aspire 5920 laptop. We got it from Walmart, which you might know is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to computer equipment. It wasn't cheap (almost $800 all told), and it ran Vista (:()... but when we got it home we fell in love with it. 3GB RAM and a Core2Duo processor runs Windows Vista better than my desktop runs Windows XP (granted, it bloody well should). The widescreen is absolutely glorious, and the sound from the speakers is absolutely phenominal.
